I'm so lame about this blog stuff, I'm always so proud when I finish a blog and then I want to do it more, and then I don't. So, I'm going to play catch up since my last blog where I just whined. So, what I'm going to do to catch up is do different month posts with stories and pictures. I recently heard from a friend that you can order your blog like scrapbook - so I'm going to start keeping this sucker updated from now on.
December 2010!
Of course there was the whine post, but after the whine post there should have been a Christmas post! We had a great Christmas this year. I went shopping with my mom and sisters the day after Thanksgiving starting at midnight. We hit Walmart, Gymborree (40% off the entire store), Children's Place (50% off the entire store), Target, then Shoe Carnival. It was a blast and I got the kid's entire Christmas; including some long sleeve shirts that Lyla really needed right way. Technically Gage didn't need presents since he was only 7 weeks, but he got lots of toys that he really is just now starting to play with. Bill and I bought ourself's a video camera, then just small gifts for each other. I got a book and a robe. Bill got some accessories for his ipod. Lyla got an awesome barbie house complete with a whole bunch of new barbies, stuff for her kitchen, duplo blocks, camera, skates, and loads more from her grand parents. Gage got a play yard, a sit and stand giraffe, and misc other smaller baby toys - with loads more from the grand parents. Pictures!!
Also this month I have started a project that I love doing. I make baby food. My family calls me a granola and hippy for doing this but I love it - and Gage loves the food. I got the idea from my friend Katie, and have just ran with it. I stock up the freezer with fruit, veggies, and healthy protein options. I do use store bought baby food as well sometimes so that he will accept them if we're out and they also give me ideas on other things to try - like who would have thought of spinach and potatoes together? Well now I make that and Gage loves it. I just recently made a fruity combo of blueberries, strawberries, and banana yogurt this one is yummy it tastes like a smoothy - Yes I've tried it! Plus as an added bonus I make one tray of the fruit into popsicles for Lyla.
Here are some more random pictures from December.
