I know I haven't had a new blog in a long time - I do have some excuses, but I will not go into them, because I want to introduce the newest member to my family. Gage was born on November 4th at 07:19am via C-Section. The C-Section this time around was sooo much better then the first. We got to the hospital at 5am and then wheeled into the surgery room at 7am. I was given a spinal tap - so much better then an epidural, surgery started and Gage come out crying and peeing. He weighed 8lbs 14ozs and was 20 inches long. He passed all of his tests right away with out problems until the liver function test. His billy ruben was too high so on his second day of life he could only be with me for feedings and had to spend the rest of the time in the tanning bed. This was traumatic for both of us, and we shed a lot of tears, but in the end it was worth it because the next day his levels decreased so he was clear to go home and we didn't have to bring the tanning bed with us. Now we are home and adjusting to life as a family of four. Lyla loves Gage, she had some issues at first because she thought she was getting a playmate right away, but she has really liked holding him, talking to him, and is a huge help around the house. Here are some of my favorite pics so far, and from now on my goal is two blogs a month - not always about the kids.
